NOAH CAIN 2022 PROFILE

The entirety of Coach Frank Wilson's running backs room will be looking over their shoulders at LSU's newest backfield transfer addition, Noah Cain.

Entering the portal from Penn State, LSU's Louisiana native running back heard Frank Wilson's calling, joining the Tigers' then-stacked running back room as the leader in career yards, carries and touchdowns immediately upon arrival.

Before his LSU transfer, the Louisiana native & high school 5 star set Penn State's freshman scoring record (for running backs) before enduring an injury-plagued sophomore year at Happy Valley.

Now, afforded a clean slate and a scholarship back home wearing purple and gold, Cain is a tangibly exciting prospect.

Not only did Cain appear in 24 games for the Nittany Lions, 5 more than LSU's next most experienced back (Emery at 19 apps), the former Guyer & IMG standout rushed for 806 total rushing yards, 12 TDs and carried the ball 193 times, averaging 4.2 each rush, only bested by any Tiger running back in the average per rush category.

Throughout Fall Camp, Cain ascended in his first practice reps as a Tiger, often chosen as the first team running back.

The former Penn State back exhibited solid dual threat capabilities out of the back field, running with intensity, violence and overlooked pace. Visibly ripped and adding enough weight to handle the rigors of an SEC campaign, one can clearly see the fruits of Jake Flint's summer conditioning program.

In the wake of much beloved veteran back John Emery Jr's opening two game suspension, Coach Frank Wilson and Brian Kelly will be relying on Noah as their starter right out of the gates.

For the Baton Rouge native, opening his season as a starter playing inside the Superdome against Florida State, followed by an epic hometown meeting vs Southern University at Death Valley, 2022 is starting to align for Cain.
