According to an LSUOdyssey source within the LSU Tigers' football program, two of Coach Brian Kelly's key pieces have now made their decisions concerning their future:
QB Jayden Daniels, honored as the MVP of the team during the other night's team banquet dinner, will eschew the NFL for one more season as a Tiger, returning for 2023 with plenty of promise as an athlete, though there is major room for improvement as a passer....a key reason for his return.
Redshirt freshman QB Garrett Nussmeier is also expected to return for his third campaign as a Tiger, following up his fantastic showing in the SEC Championship Game by hoping to overtake Daniels in next spring and fall's quarterback competition.
