As this very site reported on 12/10, LSU's recent QB transfer Myles Brennan was in talks to return to the school.
Today, Myles announced he is doing just that.....Myles Brennan has taken his name out of the transfer portal and will stay one more season at LSU.
What an incredible story that just never seems to stop providing twists and turns...from one season ending injury, a year-long benching, a red shirt campaign, a shot as the starter, then a transfer....now, he's back in the fold....announcing today with one of the greatest monologues in human history....Leo DiCaprio's hilarious office rant from "The Wolf Of Wall Street".
Check out these profiles on Brennan to understand exactly what a saga and wild ride his Tigers career has been thus far...if he could finish this next year on a high note, taking LSU to a New Year's Six bowl or even a CFP appearance, Myles' legacy as a Tiger Legend would be intact.....but in my book, #15 is a Tiger Legend already, symbolizing so many of the values every LSU fan believes the program should represent: determination, commitment, leadership, never giving in, refusing to back down, lifting others up instead of tearing them down.....one team....one f***ing heartbeat....
With Brennan in tow, LSU's quarterback room is now in great shape heading into 2022, comprised of a wise old veteran....a 6th year senior looking for one last shot at redemption, while his selflessness and leadership will make him a major asset for the development of both soon-to-be sophomore Garrett Nussmeier and in-coming freshman Walker Howard.
Now, the Tigers have a real QB competition, we're repairing our QB room...decimated by 3 different transfers in the last 6 months, one has now returned....and it may just be his decision which makes all the difference for LSU's 2022 title-contention hopes.
