First off, LSU OL Emery Jones Jr suffered an ankle injury, missing 2 snaps at first with Tyree Adams assimilating nicely into the lineup.
However, luckily for Emery, the entire state of Louisiana, and every Tiger fan, he was able to tape it up and get back in the game, playing the rest of the snaps vs UCLA.
Emery doesn't seem to be in too much trouble, could be rested for snaps vs Southern Alabama if LSU are good enough to grab a large lead, or may be able to participate in full....it doesn't seem to be a concern.
Although the same cannot be said for both CB Zy Alexander or defender Harold Perkins....Zy affected by a concussion, while Perkins was impacted by a suspected, then confirmed, knee injury that looked awkward & serious upon first glimpse...though the location of his injury wasn't certain at first.
Without going into any more other background, LSUOdyssey can tell you Harold Perkins suffered a season ending knee injury, likely an ACL tear, happening on that bizarre tackle, he went down awkwardly, and now, he will miss the entire campaign....a cold fact which greatly hurts the Tigers' defense and takes an incredible, generational talent off the field....a really big gut punch to the team, arriving right on the heels of other season ending injuries for Jacobian Guillory and John Emery Jr.
Safety Jardin Gilbert also had a dislocated shoulder which had to be popped back into place. He returned to the game & even intercepted a pass after the the injury he went through. No details on where he's at concerning that injury.

I am so sorry to see a talent like Perkins go down. At the same time, I think we were still not integrating him well. It will be interesting to see if the scheme might change to suit some of the young talent. I honestly don’t think our team defense will be worse, it might be a little better. Believe me, that’s no knock on Perkins just a gut feel.
