What sticks out?

Obviously the 39 additional pressures, 10 more sacks, 9 more TFLs, as well as the increased turnovers and havoc creation....however, just the overall allowance of points stand in stark contrast.....

Across those first 6 games, 4 different opponents scored at least 31 points against 2023 LSU's Matt House defense, while 2 scored 3 scored 39+...

Physicality = massively improved.

Playmaking = massively improved.

It's all coming together for Blake Baker's defense, although they're still a year away from where they want to be, the success he's able to achieve without talisman 1st round talent Harold Perkins or all important DT Jacobian Guillory is beyond stunning.

However, the most ultimately damning statement???

The fact that both Whit Weeks and Bradyn Swinson both sat on Matt House's bench....opting instead for Omar Speights and Ovie Oghoufo....meanwhile, Weeks and Swinson have now combined for 3 SEC Defensive Player of the Week awards this campaign already, plus Swinson cashed in the SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week award following this past Saturday.
