I think Nuss is going to be a monster and hard for anyone to beat out. The way Nuss has progressed should be how Hurley should look at it... I watched Jamie Howard get shattered as a true freshman. Lee, also. I think 2024 is Nuss #1 and Collins versus Hurley for the backup and by the time he touches the field he should be the monster. It's all in growth and development.
I don't think it's very wise starting a true freshman at QB unless he's a very very special talent or there just isn't any real competition. One thing for sure, Colin will have great talent around him. Kelly is building a monster in BR.
There should be no hard and fast rule. If this young man wins the job, and there is a chance he could, you play him. Never sit a man that’s earned the job. It hurts the team, the players involved, and ultimately the depth chart when a disillusioned player leaves.,
