According to LSUOdyssey sources within the locker room, LSU's Dashawn Womack was suspended for the Florida game due to "not playing up to LSU standards, and giving a subpar effort vs Alabama"......a coaching staff source also added he's been "under the standard line for 8 weeks".
Likely All-American DE Bradyn Swinson & Sage Ryan were both held out of the 1st quarter vs Florida due to "being late for a check-in" while the team was in Gainesville this weekend ahead of the game.
It's hard to say how much these suspensions played into the Tigers' 11 point loss to 4-5 Florida....but it's definitely not good news going into a must-win game....and you could see a lack of effort or desire across the board from LSU's squad.
LSUOdyssey also saw footage of a considerable sideline dustup between Kyren Lacy & Head Coach Brian Kelly (with Lacy screaming at Kelly as he ran to the sidelines after another possession thrown away), as well as Coach Kelly losing his marbles at Chris Hilton Jr following his 4th mistimed jump of the season, asking him, "Who the fuck do you think you are?" After Hilton seemed to avert his eyes & the discussion entirely, before Kelly shouted, "you're uncoachable..."
For the first time of the Brian Kelly era, the LSU squad's discipline off the field is in need of serious work & attention, letting the team down on the field in the end.
