According to LSUOdyssey sources, Tigers #1 DT Jacobian Guillory is expected to miss the rest of the 2024 season after suffering a torn achilles during the win over Nicholls State last night.

What a bad week for LSU, a second season-ending injury for the Tigers in less than a week, two key players down for the count, a loss to USC, and a team that isn't playing well...even against Nicholls State.

For a defensive tackle spot that was already reeling from depth woes, this was the worst possible news.

Guillory went down, clutching his ankle, hobbling off the field, and then entered the medical tent, according to 247 reporter Glen West, who also reported Guillory then was sat down in a wheelchair for the duration of his time on the sidelines during the game.

Guillory worked hard all offseason and took his game to the next level, and much like John Emery Jr's season ending ACL tear, Guillory's torn Achilles is a tragedy for the young man, now a senior at LSU.

Let's hope he receives another opportunity to put together a top tier season...possibly in year 6...
