During LSU's annual Pro Day exhibition inside the Charles McClendon indoor practice facility, 16 recently departed Tigers including class heavies Will Campbell, Mason Taylor, Josh Williams, Saivion Jones, and Kyren Lacy took part in varying drills before the assembled scrutinizers.

AND HERE ARE THE RESULTS, INC. ALL DRILLS👇👇👇

JOSH WILLIAMS

LSU running back Josh Williams defied all surface level footballing logic, refused the box he was placed in by nearly every analyst, and shocked his critics / doubters once again with a terrific showing during his Pro Day:

The LSU Masters Degree holder & 2019 National Champion ran a 4.45 40 yard dash & executed an exhilarating 42 inch vertical leap...completely blowing the collective minds of every latte sipping, cocaine snorting NFL scout in attendance.
The man who climbed from a walk-on to a starting, scholarship-holding running back at LSU, Williams may not be a day 1 NFL starter, he may have to climb the mountain once again at the next level, but this is a Tiger I stopped betting against long ago....
NFL DRAFT PROJECTION
6th Round
WILL CAMPBELL

For all of the talk about LSU left tackle Will Campbell's brilliant career, his expected 1st round status, and his incredibly intense & mature demeanor, now the discussion has turned......we aren't all collectively going on and on about all 9 of his flags this season or dissecting every single missed block from LSU's 2024 offensive line & assigning blame to Campbell alone...that went out of style after Week 6....
....Now, we're all talking about his "short" arms.....and I'm not just bemused, I'm kind of disgusted.
For some reason (and I have a feeling most of these people never actually played football), current day Draft analysts, front office lackey boys, hard broiled lifer scouts hiding from their wives for 25 years, hapless GMs (offseason lepers), etc, all consider tackles with sub-33 inch arm lengths to be......(at least) greatly flawed, (at worst)....even undraftable.
There have even been talks with teams who wanted to see if Will would switch from tackle to guard due to his perceived "shorter" arm length, measuring 32 inches & 5/8 at the NFL Combine.
However, at LSU's Pro Day, the arms of the former Neville High 5 star measured exactly 33 inches long....whatever will these offseason leper folks do???
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It would be astounding to me, and also the folly of fools if Campbell wasn't drafted inside the top 10, but their loss would be others' gain, only allowing 49 pressures, 13 QB hits, and 4 sacks throughout 2,553 offensive snaps, with 0 sacks allowed in 2023.
NFL DRAFT PROJECTION
1st Round (Top 5)
KYREN LACY

3 year LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy experienced a bad offseason / Pre-Draft process, getting arrested in connection with a fatal car accident, facing charges of hit & run as well as negligent homicide, things couldn't have been more uncertain or distracting for the embattled LSU star.
Questions abounded throughout the winter & early Spring concerning his presence and participation at today's Pro Day event, but indeed, Lacy worked out for the scouts, performing well despite the circumstances he's created.
On Wednesday, his first mass public sighting since the arrest, Lacy leapt for a 36 inch vertical jump as well as a 40 yard dash of 4.50.
He's never possessed breakaway speed in any conventional sense, taking on more of the athletic profile of a slow burner who gathers a ton of momentum in the open field, and his contested catch abilities always showcased his above average hops...but there's so much going on with Lacy right now.
Every time Coach Brian Kelly told us Lacy matured as a person or improved as a player, we'd see another example of the opposite, critical 3rd down drops time and time again (his hands & overall concentration remain a core deficiency that not only cost LSU games, but now will take large amounts of potential money from Lacy as he's sure to fall in the upcoming Draft), ridiculous personal foul penalties for senselessly petty celebrations, and a major chip on his shoulder which has become more of an issue than a charming, character-building plus.
....We know he could become a serious upper echelon receiver at the NFL level, but now we're about to find out how much Lacy wants the challenge, as he'll definitely receive an opportunity on an NFL squad.....still, nothing will be given.
NFL DRAFT PROJECTION
4th Round
MASON TAYLOR

Running a 4.65 40 yard dash & ripping 28 lifts from the bench press, Mason Taylor ended his Pro Day like his LSU career....in dominant style.
Finishing his career as LSU's all time greatest tight end in school history in almost every single category (2007 National Champion Richard Dickson still tops Taylor regarding touchdowns), the NFL Hall of Fame bloodliner enjoyed a stellar career as a Tiger, becoming a major cog within Heisman-winner Jayden Daniels' 2022-2023 offensive juggernaut, while also topping career numbers this past fall for QB Garrett Nussmeier.
Taylor is adaptable, he's stout, he has speed, physicality, trusty hands, and picking a number out of 10, his blocking is so reliable I would rate it as an 8.6.
Plus, when pressure is at its apex, Taylor performs at his best. Something tells me we will be watching him on Sundays for a long time...
NFL DRAFT PROJECTION
2nd Round
BRADYN SWINSON

Registering the most sacks of any LSU Tiger since 2016's record breaking campaign by Arden Key, edge rusher Bradyn Swinson stood out for each of his two seasons at LSU, producing 8.5 sacks in 2024. MORE 👇👇👇
NFL DRAFT PROJECTION
2nd Round
ZY ALEXANDER

Alexander struggled on the sidelines after missing half of his 2023 season due to a torn ACL injury, but recovered in time for his senior year and stamped his authority over an entire campaign of dominant play in coverage. MORE 👇👇👇
NFL DRAFT PROJECTION:
5th Round
SAIVION JONES

Gathering 4.5 sacks last year, 2nd on the team, as well as producing a high number of pressures, Saivion Jones also missed some opportunities to rack up even more numbers, change even more games for LSU, and make even more money for himself on Draft weekend.
Constantly showcasing his ultra behemoth ways as a defensive end capable of full throttle penetrative greatness, Jones has also left many of his admirers wanting more. Jones can always get to the quarterback, but getting him to the ground is another matter entirely.
With some tightening on his weight & conditioning, Saivion Jones could be an absolute game wrecker at the NFL level.

EMERY JONES JR

While his stock took a hit over the course of 2024, Emery Jones Jr may be slept on during the NFL Draft, and yes maybe he entered a year too early, however....in the end, the versatile, athletically agile, and monstrously big Emery Jones Jr will be a longtime stalwart who will end up playing a lot of games for a lucky franchise....watch out for Jayden Daniels and Washington looking to steal him at some point. NFL DRAFT PROJECTION:
3rd Round
GARRETT DELLINGER

I am a big fan of Delly, a do-it-all O-lineman who went from tackle in high school to guard and even a Week 1 start at center for LSU.
As reliable as the sun coming up in the morning, Dellinger's only drawback remains his injury history, although his iron man persistence to play & his combined Midwestern & SEC pedigree papers over those cracks. MORE 👇👇👇

MILES FRAZIER

Another O-line sleeper, Miles Frazier may become the O-line steal of the NFL Draft's later rounds. MORE 👇👇👇
NFL DRAFT PROJECTION:
3rd Round
GREG PENN III

Capable of doing most of what it takes to be successful at linebacker, Greg Penn III is still raw as a linebacker prospect, even with large doses of experience and high tackle totals, improved turnover creation in 2023 & 2024, and overall stunning progress alongside Whit Weeks, the Washington D.C native could be a fantastic, week in-week out starting linebacker at the NFL level if he can somehow make up for his lack of pace & subpar coverage abilities.

NFL DRAFT PROJECTION:

SLADE ROY

The extremely valuable long snapper played 3 fantastic years at LSU, delivering consistency and even making plays when covering punts (including his game-turning fumble recovery inside the 10 yard line vs Mississippi State).
Every team needs someone to rely on at that position, which makes Slade Roy a sought after snapsman....who knows where LSU could've been without his steady hand guiding our often shaky special teams through troubled Polian-infested waters.

I’m probably letting my heart enter the picture, but Josh showed nice speed and exceptional jumping ability. He is sure to interview well. I am hoping a team will realize his intangibles and maybe he might sneak into the bottom of the fourth round,
